The Rotten Word

“The Rotten Word” is 99% stupid attempt to be clever and punny and 1% reflective of how fascinated I am by how silly many of the things we say and write end up seeming to us under the bright hot light of retrospect.

My name is Joe and I like to read and write about law, literature, music, politics, technology, and Philadelphia. I think of these topics as the primary categories of my outward life. I tend be fairly (or unfairly) verbose with my opinions on just about anything, but it is these six topics that occupy my interest most of the time.

Most of what I do over here will consist of commentary on current events that I think are interesting for one reason or another. Sometimes, I’ll complain. Sometimes, I’ll bloviate. Sometimes, I’ll celebrate. I may even, on infrequent occasions, scintillate. However, I rarely vacillate, infrequently obfuscate, at least intentionally, and hopefully I never sedate anyone with what I write.
